Ceramic Sushi Plates

Most of our sushi plates are Japanese ceramic or porcelain — glazed finishes in black, white, blue, and earth tones. Ceramic sushi plates are dishwasher-safe in most cases, microwave-safe unless they have metallic accents, and hold temperature well for serving. Rectangular and long shapes are the most traditional for nigiri and sashimi presentation; round and fan shapes work well for mixed platters.

Sushi Plate Sizes

Single-serve plates typically run 20–28 cm in length — enough for 4–6 pieces of nigiri. Sharing platters and sets range from 30–45 cm and suit 10–15 pieces. If you're serving sashimi alongside dipping sauce, look for plates with a built-in sauce well or pair with a separate soy sauce dish.
